Equipment Details
- Main Structure:
Constructed from premium polypropylene (PP) sheets with a double-layer design. The interlayer accommodates water, electrical, and gas pipelines, ensuring cabinet sealing and protection.
- Baffle System:
The installation position and angle of the baffle can ensure even exhaust distribution and no dead zones. The exhaust ratio of the upper, middle, and lower exhaust ports is about 50±10%, meeting the needs of different experiments.
- Vertical Sliding Sash:
Made of acrylic glass, with edge-wrapped design and plastic tracks to ensure smooth sliding. It features a double steel cable design on the left and right sides to ensure long-term safety.
- Circulating Water Dilution System:
Designed to neutralize perchloric acid vapors through a chemical reaction to produce neutral products. Equipped with a buffer tank and a PP pump, the alkaline solution is evenly distributed through atomization tubes to ensure efficient neutralization.

Working Principle
- Circulating Water Dilution System:
Perchloric acid vapors react with the alkaline solution (NaOH) in the system, producing neutral byproducts (NaClO₄ and H₂O). The atomization tubes evenly distribute the alkaline solution to ensure full contact with perchloric acid vapors and complete the neutralization reaction. The neutralized products flow back to the buffer tank by gravity for reuse.
- Baffle System:Exhaust System:
High-performance ventilation expels hazardous gases, maintaining lab air quality. Exhaust velocity is controlled at 0.5–0.8 m/s for uniform airflow.
Precautions
- Operational Norms:
Exclusively for perchloric/nitric acid experiments. Keep away from ignition sources, heat, and flammables.
Operators must be professionally trained and strictly follow operational procedures.
Wear protective equipment such as a filtering gas mask, polyethylene suit, and rubber gloves during the experiment.
- Maintenance:
Regularly clean sludge from the buffer tank.
Never run the pump dry or with closed valves.
Regularly check the pH value of the circulating water system. Replace the solution in the buffer tank when the pH value is below 6.
The pump must not run chemical solutions with a temperature exceeding 50°C.
